Families, chosen families, found families, close friends, or however you describe those you love is the foundation of what we do. Weddings are an amazing excuse to tell stories about the most important things in life.

“We believe your wedding is not just about one day. It’s about your story leading up to that day and the stories that will come after. We hope our photos and films will serve as a part of your family’s story, however you define it, for generations to come.”

Toast evolved from one person and a camera to a group of friends with cameras and into a diverse Collective of passionate photographers, videographers, creators, editors, planners, and everyone in between. Our team is comprised of multiple married couples, decades-long friends, friends of friends, and a bunch of other amazing people who have found their way into this crew, all working for a common purpose.

We began with a simple mission to create photo albums and films for people that were meaningful, cinematic, and told a great story, at a reasonable price. That’s still the case today and over time we’ve discovered it’s much deeper than that.

After going back in time to dig deeper about how and why Toast started, I came across a letter I wrote to our Toast Fam after my family and I had a profound experience watching my wife, Callie, and I’s wedding film. It had been almost three years to the day since I had read the letter but after I did, I thought there were no better words to describe why we do what we do.

I wasn’t sure if it was appropriate to share publicly but after my sisters thought my Dad would be okay with it, I decided to share it here…
